Darjeeling 1st Flush
This excellent early spring 2024 Darjeeling comes from Victoria's Peak, named after Queen Victoria. The tea is grown in this independent part of the Steinthal tea plantation, located at the foot of the Himalaya Mountains. Steinthal is one of the oldest tea gardens in Darjeeling and cultivates only pure Chinese tea plant cultivars.
Darjeeling is often called the "Champagne of Teas" and is highly prized by the French and Germans tea enthusiasts. The tea leaves are a bright dark green with silver tips. The steeped tea is light green and fragrant, and the taste is muscatel and floral with a light sweetness.
