Additional Tea Shop Updates

As you know the coronavirus situation is evolving every day. At the shop we are making these changes in addition to the ones announced in the last post:

- all drinks will be served in paper to-go cups (no glass mugs or teapots and no traditional steeps)

- 15% tip will be added to food and drink orders unless you tell us otherwise (this is to avoid you and our team both touching the iPad during a transaction)

- we strongly encourage credit card payments (we will only accept credit cards starting 3/16)

Later today there will be guidance from the local health department about social distancing in restaurants and retail stores.

For the time being, we are cancelling the weekend tea flights and tea classes. We are sad to take these steps as we believe tea education and social events are part of what make LizzyKate a special place in our community. However, we all need to do what we can to slow the coronavirus during these unprecedented times. We hope to continue the events in the future.

In addition to drinks in the shop, we are well stocked with your favorite loose leaf teas to make at home. You can also purchase infusers, mugs and teapots in the shop and online.

For our Seattle area customers, we ship locally too. You can still enjoy your favorite LizzyKate loose leaf teas as early as tomorrow. Local packages are usually delivered via USPS the next day for less than the cost of gas, tolls and parking.
