Iced Tea Lemonade Recipe

Iced Tea Lemonade

If you’re a fan of iced tea lemonade, try making your own at home with your favorite loose leaf teas! Instead of half tea and half lemonade, we prefer to make a stronger tea base that is 2/3 iced tea and 1/3 lemonade.

Here’s the recipe we use for a 16 oz iced tea lemonade:

  1. Steep 1 tablespoon of loose leaf tea in 6 oz of hot water (use the time and temperature on the tea package). Remove the tea leaves.
  2. Add to a cocktail shaker filled with ice and shake 5-10 sec.
  3. Pour over fresh ice in a 16-oz glass and top off with lemonade.

Try using all types of tea (black, green, oolong, etc) as well as fruity blends and herbals. It's also fun to experiment with sweeteners like honey, maple syrup, and flavored syrups if you like your drinks sweeter.

Pictured is a Dusty Pink Drink (Lavender Bouquet herbal, lavender syrup and lemonade). The color changes from light yellow to light pink when you add the lemonade. Happy sipping!
