Handy Tea Accessory

This month we included a pack of paper tea filters with the LizzyKate Tea Club packages. These are one of our favorite tea accessories, especially when we’re traveling or making large quantities of iced tea – we hope you’ll do a lot of both this summer!

When we travel, we pack some of these filters plus an assortment of LizzyKate tea and make tea with the hot water and cups in the hotel room, condo or friend’s house. It’s super easy to dispose of the filters once you’ve made the tea, which also makes them a great option for making tea in an office setting.

In the summer we use them to make iced tea at home and on the road. Just add 1 teaspoon of tea leaves (or 1 tablespoon of fluffier teas) per 8 ounces of cold water. Fold and staple the top of the tea filter (or hang the top of the filter over the opening of the container) and put it in the refrigerator to cold steep for 6-8 hours. These also work well for making gallons of iced tea for a party – just add more tea filters to the container.
